Account & Data Deletion Policy

At SwiiftCare, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated personal information.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your SwiiftCare account at any time by:

  • Submitting a request inside the app under Settings to Delete Account (if available), or
  • Emailing us at: support@swiiftcare.com

Please include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your full name
  • Confirmation that you wish to permanently delete your account

For security purposes, we may require identity verification before processing your request.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Upon approval of your deletion request:

  • Your account access will be permanently disabled.
  • Your profile information will be deleted.
  • Your login credentials will be invalidated.
  • Your in-app messages will be deleted where legally permitted.
  • Your wallet access will be closed (any remaining balance must be withdrawn prior to deletion).

3. Medical Records & Legal Retention

Because SwiiftCare operates in the healthcare sector, certain records may be retained for regulatory and legal compliance purposes.

These may include:

  • Consultation records
  • Prescriptions
  • Referral documentation
  • Transaction records

Such data is retained only as required by applicable healthcare, financial, and regulatory laws.

Retained records are:

  • Archived securely
  • Not accessible to the user
  • Not used for marketing purposes
  • Restricted to authorized compliance personnel only

4. Data Retention Period

Where retention is legally required, data may be stored for the minimum period required by applicable law. After the retention period expires, such records will be securely deleted or anonymized.

5. Data That Cannot Be Deleted Immediately

We may retain limited information where required to:

  • Comply with financial regulations
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Resolve disputes
  • Meet healthcare compliance obligations

6. Processing Timeline

Deletion requests are typically processed within 14 days, subject to identity verification.

7. International Data Transfers

If your data has been processed outside your country of residence, deletion will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws governing those jurisdictions.
